Biotechnology Production Associate
For a fast growing Canadian biotechnology company that manufactures and sells antibiotics, chemical reagents, and filtration devices for in-vitro scientific research. We are an expanding company in need of qualified candidates, who have the desire to work in the biotechnology industry, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, are highly analytical, multi-task efficiently, record details accurately, work well in a team, and are proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Specifically, qualified candidates have experience handling chemicals and preparing stock solutions using aseptic technique, accurately following protocols, and recording analytical data in a lab notebook. Working towards or a completion of a degree in biology, chemistry or other related fields is preferred.

We will provide in-house training for production associates to conduct the following job duties according to quality standards:
• Dispense bulk antibiotics into gram level vials according to work instructions.
• Safely package and ship dangerous goods.
• Production of and filling of antibiotic solutions.
• Assistance in large production and packaging OEM runs.
• Sample raw materials and finished products when required.
• Maintaining clean and functional laboratory workspace; including machinery and equipment.
• Aseptic filling of solutions in clean room.
• Detailed laboratory notes for specific research projects/production runs.
• Maintaining clear documentation of processes.
• Prepare technical data to support Customer Service Department.
• Work closely with the Safety Department to ensure a safe workplace.
• Inventory control including ordering and accepting incoming products.
• Supplies organization, ordering of laboratory equipment, restocking supply shelves. Ensure a minimum stock at all times.
• Assisting in laboratory operations as needed.
• Clerical duties such as data entry, report generation, and answering phones, creating invoices, and packing lists
• Comply with company policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Compensation includes: competitive hourly wages, paid holidays, medical/dental/vision after three months, PTO, and company 401k. This position is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Part time hours are available as well.
Compensation: According to Experience.
